Ella - Toledo area children's photography

Ella came back to see me for her 8 month session. We did a session several months back, so I was thrilled to see how much she has grown over the summer. What a cutie pie - I love seeing the little teeth breaking through in the front. Ella is not a fan of stuffed animals, so we were not sure how she would be with sock monkey - she was curious, but not too bothered - such funny facial expressions! Ella is such a laid back, sweet, happy little girl. A complete joy to photograph.
Hope you & Momma enjoyed your girls day off! See you soon for your birthday session!

Nazareth reception with Heather & Andrew

Not only do I love grotto ceremonies at Nazareth Hall, I adore shooting receptions there. The rooms are filled with character & charm & natural sunlight. The room looked beautiful with the lanterns, flowers & oh yeah, the chocolate fountain!
I received the nicest email from Heather after they viewed their images. I can't say enough how much that means to me. I am so fortunate to be able to bring happiness to others:
Dear Gerri,
Thank you so much for the pictures! I don't think I could have chosen anyone better to help us remember our very special day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Every one of the pictures are absolutely beautiful! Andrew loved the pics, as well. A lot of them made Andrew cry which is really special to me! Thank you again. Regards, Heather

family, friends & love

I don't know if we've ever taken so many family pictures at a wedding before. It definitely shows the importance of family & friends to Heather & Andrew. This shot of the guys just reads "trouble" & I mean that in a good way - I think they probably have many stories that could be told...
We didn't have a lot of time for the romance shots before the reception, but Heather & Andrew made it easy on us. So sweet with one another, it didn't take long to capture tons of gorgeous images of them.

Group shots with Heather & Andrew

The flower girl was so adorable in this wedding. I loved her flower wreath, created by Sherry of Sherry's Touch flowers. The image of Andrew & Heather's hug after the ceremony is priceless - You can just see the joy & contentment in Heather's face!

Heather & Andrew at Nazareth Hall

Heather & Andrew were married at Nazareth Hall on Aug. 28th. The ceremony was in the grotto & fortunately it wasn't too hot & humid that day. Grotto weddings there are my favorites!
I have to say I've never before done a wedding where I didn't meet the couple until the day of the wedding! Heather & Andrew live in Alabama & got my name from family members. I'm so glad they trusted in me just by our phone conversations, because I truly enjoyed shooting their wedding. Heather has the sweetest little southern twang to her voice - it just melts your heart.
Right before the ceremony, Heather said - "I'm so nervous...well, I'm not nervous about marrying Andrew - I love him" - in the cutest southern drawl. Soooo precious!

Adrian & Dustin's romance shots

While Adrian & Dustin are more of the playful type, the girls still captured some tender, romantic moments of the couple. Congratulations, Adrian & Dustin - your wedding looked awesome.

Adrian & Dustin's Wolcott session

Nicole & Taylor covered the wedding of Adrian & Dustin. The wedding party headed over to Wolcott House for the group shots & romance shots of the couple. It certainly looks like they all had a great time. I loved their color palette of chocolate brown & mossy green. So classic & fresh.

Adrian & Dustin's wedding

Adrian & Dustin were married on Aug. 14th. at Joan of Arc church. The beautiful, summer reception was held at the home of Adrian's parents. I love tent receptions - somehow they are the perfect blend of casual & elegant...

Anniversary Trash the Dress session

It still surprises me when people are not familiar with what a Trash the Dress session is. So, I am glad to have done a few recently to get the word out there. These are sessions with couples (or just the bride) sometime after the wedding when the bride can wear the dress again to get some awesome images. We are not rushed as on the wedding date, we can go to crazy, fun spots to shoot - rivers, parks, fields, barns, alleys, ball fields...make it personal. And, we are not worried about getting the dress dirty as on the wedding day. No, you don't actually have to trash the dress - we just have loads of fun with it! Chances are, it's looking pretty shabby after the reception anyway! And believe me, you won't ever wear it again!
Chrissey & Mike celebrated their 2nd anniversary with a TTD session. It was an especially sweet session for me since she is my niece. Taylor & I were actually unable to attend her wedding so having the chance to see her in her dress was so special. We went out to the dam at Grand Rapids and were blown away by how beautiful it is out there. Taylor & I were actually squealing in delight at the yummy evening light. The images posted were straight out of the camera (no crazy post processing done here!) The light shone on them better than any spotlight or flash could have.
More images are in the TTD album of Serendipity Photography Facebook page.
Thank you, Mike & Chrissey, for allowing us to share your anniversary evening with you - you two were perfect - right down to the seaweed fight! Love ya!

Baby Natalie - three month session

Natalie is in our Baby Plan & recently came in for her three month session. I love seeing the babes come in for this session - there is such a drastic change since their newborn session!
Natalie is so gorgeous with her dark hair & big baby blues! So stylish in her little fall sweater, too!
See you soon!
