Trash the Dress Session!

I was so excited to finally get together with Scott & Ashley for her TTD session. They were married last fall & we planned to do a fun session afterwards, but the weather got too cold too fast!

Ashley is the supreme Tomboy; hunting & fishing with Scott. However, she had the girliest, most feminine wedding gown - and looked absolutely beautiful! Mom wasn't too thrilled with the thought of a TTD session - we don't actually "trash the dress". We just have some fun & don't worry about it getting a bit dirty! And, really, girls - your daughters will NOT want to wear it at their wedding! I know my daughters are totally not interested in my high neck, long sleeve lace dress - that's very yellow by now!

I met Ashley & Scott at Weirs Rapids with all her gear; rifle, decoys, duck calls!! What a riot! I know nothing about hunting & fishing, so this was a learning experience for me, too. I think the Tomboy pulled out the sexy darn good! I'm sure Scott enjoyed this session as much as we did! Thanks, Ashley, for being such a sport! Lake High Senior

Rachel is another of my Lake High seniors. She brought along Titan for a few shots. He was a bit more interested in checking everything out on the Wolcott House grounds, but he did give us a couple great images! Have a great year, Rachel!

Happy Back to School!

Hope all the kids are happy to begin a new school year. I know all the Moms are! I'm not sure where the summer went? It seems to go faster every year & everyone seems to be busier each year. I remember those long ago days of lying under a tree, reading a book & the days just went on forever!! I guess the more you have to do, the faster time goes...

I've been keeping busy with the seniors lately. I love doing senior portraits. The kids are so excited to be at this new & exciting stage of their life. Their senior session is really a time for them to focus on their interests & their style! I've met some great kids lately - have a super year!
Sarah, from Maumee, was such a trooper with the giant bees & the warm temps. We were just relieved that it didn't get to be 88 degrees as predicted.
I recently did Cole's sisters' wedding in Archbold. He came out to Side Cut for his senior session. Check out the nosy wildlife in his first image! Such social critters here in Maumee~

Back to Wildwood

We had another great day in which we were able to complete our location sessions outdoors! We made our way around Wildwood, avoiding all the other wedding parties shooting at the same time. If you're ever bored on a Sat. afternoon, head over to The Art Musuem, Wildwood or Botanical Gardens & people watch - there's usually a line up of wedding parties at these locations!

Julianne & Dan

Julianne & Dan celebrated their wedding surrounded by family & friends - especially many college friends in their college church. There were many personal touches to make the event special to them all!

More from Heather & Chad

Had to post a few more from The Art Museum & The Toledo Club.

Southern Romance

Heather & Chad couldn't decide between Wildwood & Art Museum for their location session, so we did both! Their group was great to work with & they are so easy to photograph. And more time listening to the Southern accents!

Southern Accents

After doing their engagement session, I could hardly wait to see them again for their wedding! OK, so I really wanted to listen to Chad's southern accent again - and this time, I got to listen to all the family, too!

Heather & Chad are both adorable & super sweet - we had a great time with them, their family & friends - from here & the Carolina's!

I had a weekend filled with seniors, families & a wedding! Perfect weather! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Happy back to school time to all the Mom's!
