Elaina's Senior Session - Toledo area senior photography

Elaina lives in Virginia - and came to see me for her senior session. Her cousins, Ally & Danielle, live here & I did their senior sessions several years ago (they came along for some "cuz" shots). Elaina's family took a trip here a few years back for me to "shoot" her brother, also. What a compliment! I absolutely love repeat business!
Enjoy your trip, Elaina & safe travels!

Family session - finally!

Another of my reschedules, we were finally able to get Mary & Eric's family session done. We were hoping to get Baby Bennett in before he gets too big - I think we missed our time frame. He is such a big boy already - so cute & expressive. So nice to see big sister, Violet, with her new baby - although she was more interested in everything else than in him!

More of the wiggly kids

Since this blog allows only 5 images per post, I needed an additional post for Carla's Mommy & Me session. The pix were too gorgeous to limit. Here's a few of the wiggly, adorable kids!

Mommy & Me - Vintage Style

Carla was looking for a vintage, timeless feel for her portrait session with her two daughters. I took them to my favorite shoot spot & we were so thrilled to find the grasses uncut & the Queen Anne's Lace in all it's glory.
Carla was concerned that the girls were being too fidgety & well, wiggly - they were - they're kids, that's what they do. But they are adorable & I like wiggly kids! And they photograph beautifully, wiggly or not!

Kayla's senior session attempt - again.

Poor Kayla - we have rescheduled her senior session @ 4 times due to the continual storms this summer - they always seem to hit on the day we have planned.
We started out at the boat house where she rows for St. Ursula. Got some fun shots there, then headed to the Art Museum just as the skies darkened. We got some super quick shots in by some flowers that were nearby. As we discussed whether we should continue, the wind broke off a tree nearby which hit the power line. Startled us enough to call it quits - well, after we got a few more shots in under the cover of the back Museum entrance.
Kayla is so photogenic & natural, she deserves so much better than Mother Nature is givin' her!

Nicholas's Two Year Session-toledo area kids photography

Nicholas turns two next month so we ventured out in the sahara for his birthday session. I have done Nicholas's portraits since he was a little, bitty newborn - and I mean little bitty. If you have been to my studio, there is a portrait of him on display in his daddy's hands - all 5 pounds of him! He surely has caught up now!
Nicholas is at the "stranger awareness" age & took a bit to warm up to me. Mom worked some magic by playing catch with his red ball & we were able to get some smiles then.
Thanks, Nicholas, for enduring the sun & the heat to get some shots for your Momma! Happy Birthday!

AW Girls Friends Session - toledo area senior photography

What a great idea! Jamie will be a senior at Anthony Wayne this year. Her mom decided to book a session for her & her 4 close friends. Two of them are recent graduates heading off to college & the other three will be seniors at AW. The girls are all athletes who play ball together & have become inseperable friends. What a fun way to celebrate this special friendship!
Best of Luck next year to Ms. Salmon, Ms. Pink, Ms. Purple, Ms Yellow & Ms. Teal. You guessed it - I would never have gotten all their names right during our session!

Katie- ND Senior - toledo area senior photography

I met up with Katie & her mom at Side Cut last week. She will be a senior at Notre Dame this year. Katie has the same infectious personality as her mom - easy going, sweet as ever, feel like you've known them forever kinda girls. That happy vibe comes through in her images!
Hope to see you both at Penguin Palace again!

Mo & Adam - toledo area children's photographer

My second set of sibs this week was Mohammed & Adam. They are seven year old twins - they are all boy - they are busy - they are super cuties!
Mohammed & Adam were born early, as are many twins. They spent six weeks in the NICU when I worked there full time. I wish I could say that I actually remembered caring for them - I do remember their names & their momma, as she is also a nurse at the hospital. Anyway, it's so great to see the rambunctious, rowdy little guys they have become. I'm sure when Mom is exhausted from running around after them, all she has to do is think back to those early days to put it all in perspective...
Thanks, Mom, for pulling out the "tickle threat" to get the great giggles!

Super sweet siblings - toledo area children's photography

I photographed two sets of siblings this week. I love to capture those moments when they are interacting with one another as they always do; joking, giggling, maybe a little fighting - natural, real stuff!
Sara's "geeka" (grandma) has brought her to have her "birthday" photos done every summer since her first birthday - she's seven now. I've also done little sister, Ava's annual photos - she turned five in June. What a joy to watch them grow & get to document this for their family.
Ava & Sara have the most beautiful, golden hair - I always call them "sister golden hair" - geeka gets it. So funny to see them so tall, missing teeth, chomping on gum & being silly - all the things kids do in the summer - enjoy your lake days, girls!

More beautiful baby momma

Had to include some of the studio shots & Brooke & Brandon. Brandon is not a fan of having his picture taken, but I love the look of these! Not so bad, daddy!
