More country boys!

I had to add another post from this session - Emery & Maddox are just that cute!

Country boys! Toledo area children's photographer

Could they be any cuter? We did Emery & Maddox's session at a greenhouse where they spend a lot of time. It is a family business & the boys are regulars there. I really think Emery believes that he owns the place. He seems to know more about the tractors than anyone!
Emery wanted to take photos on every one of the tractors, although some were buried in mud...
My favorite sessions take place at clients' homes or other places that hold a special meaning to them. I know as these adorable boys grow into young men, their family will look back on these images and recall the days when these little brothers ran around playing in the mud and "helping" out around the farm. Love you guys!

Sugar Plum! Toledo area children's photographer

This little sugar plum is as sweet as they come. She has what I call Hershey kiss eyes - big, round brown eyes! Such a beauty. Four months of age is not generally the favored age to photograph a baby - they are more awake than at a newborn session, however, they are still "tippy", unsteady & not sitting up yet. I had no problem shooting Nari - she was very mellow & cooperative. She didn't fuss when I stuck her in baskets & put crazy hats on her head. We took a couple of Mama cuddle breaks, which also gave us some great images. I just love my baby sessions - get my snuggle fixes in. Thanks, Nari, for being such a snuggly, cuddly sugarplum!

Ella is One!

I have photographed Ella a couple times now, so was happy to see her again for her one year session. Very often, we do a "cake" shot for the one year session - I absolutely love these sessions, but they do get messy (my dog, Zoe happens to favor these. She does the clean up afterwards). Ella's Mom brought along her cake, however, it happened to be a "plush" cake - so cute & no mess! Ella has become a very busy little lady - still such a sweet disposition! Hope this next year brings your Mom & Dad as much happiness as this past year!

Kim & Chris - Snowy Engagement Session

Kim & Chris drove in from Columbus for their Engagement Session. Kim was hoping for some snow - well, she got what she asked for! I think we were all surprised with the unexpected blast of snow today. It made for some beautiful images. Fortunately, Kim held up well in the wet snow - she still looked amazing at the end of the shoot. Kim & Chris both have beautiful eyes and are so photogenic making my job so easy!
They brought their "golden baby", Kaycee along for some images. She is a very sweet 8 year old retriever (although she really seemed like still a pup). She absolutely loves the snow, but never ran off at the park - she wanted only to be near Kim & Chris -so cute...
Hope you two had a safe drive back to Columbus!

Izzy! Toledo area childrens' photographer

Izzy is another contestant in the Cutest Kid Contest I am participating in. It is a charity fund raiser for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (nilmdts.org)
Izzy was a bit shy when she arrived, not unusual for a two year old. It took us about 45 minutes to get her to become unglued from Mom. I shot some pictures of "Boots" and showed them to her. Hilarious to her! We were then able to get her in a chair, but still no smiles. My daughter, Taylor, came in just then & I called her into the studio. Within a matter of seconds, Izzy was laughing hysterically. Seriously?! I mean hysterically laughing! Only later did Taylor show me the faces that she was making over my shoulder to get Izzy laughing. So funny...but whatever it takes to get a smile...

Bella!

Bella, Bella...say no more. Bella is a staple of my website & Facebook galleries. I have photographed her regularly since she was a newborn. I truly appreciate her Mom's loyalty (especially since she can shoot a great picture herself!)
We photographed Bella for her two year portraits. She always is such a joy - so amazingly cooperative for a two year old. Whatever we ask her to do - okay... with a smile on her face.
Bella, Thank You for the eskimo kisses. Hope you had a great time at Chuckie Cheese's & your party today!

National Charity Model Search Contest

Kelly brought her super cute kids over to the studio to take some entry shots for the Cutest Kids Contest that I am participating in. And Cute, they are. I'm sure you recognize Ross & Ethan from my website & Facebook - now little sister, Gianna, is becoming a regular, too. They are so natural behind the camera & so sweet, too.
Good Luck with the contest, kids!
See more images on Facebook!

Little Lucas- Toledo area baby photographer

Have I said how much I absolutely adore little, bitty ones? Rachel & Mark had maternity photos done around the holidays & booked their baby session right after Lucas' birth. We did have to reschedule due to the snow last week, but we still got him in before two weeks (the ideal time for newborn sessions)
Lucas was so stinkin' cute! He slept so well for the first part of the session, allowing me to curl him up & put him in baskets, etc. I love the way he kept holding his hands together on his chest...
Even when he woke, he allowed us to continue posing & shooting. Such a good baby!
Congratulations, Rachel & Mark - he is perfection!

Baby Mara- Toledo area baby photographer

Baby Mara's Momma used to babysit for my youngest daughter - now that's a reality check - yes, I am getting old!
I was so thrilled to hear that Jen was coming in town from Chicago with 4 week old Mara, since we would have a chance to photograph her while they were here. Mara did very well. I was truly amazed at how engaging & focused she is for only 4 weeks old. She's one of those babies that looks you right in the eye, googles a bit & you think she is just going to break right out in conversation. She slept through the beginning of the session then woke for the second half. This can sometimes be difficult since little ones seem to want to eat whenever they are awake. She just looked around and allowed me to "play" all I wanted.
Thanks, Jen, for bringing her over to meet us. I hope you had a safe trip home today -Surprise with all the snow - as if Chicago didn't have enough already!
