Thanksgiving Family Photo Op

I spent a little time before Thanksgiving dinner with the Meyer family. It's so difficult getting family members together for portraits that this was the only time they could arrange it. I didn't mind at all. Judy has been a great client of mine & they were all a fun group to work with.

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving & safe travels back home!

The Magic of Chocolate

Little Jeffrey is all boy-busy & curious....so, we did a little bribing with chocolate Santas. Whatever it takes!!

Thanksgiving Mush!

O.K., so I'm feeling very sentimental & mushy--here's a few things that I remind myself of everday:

When I'm feeling that all I do is work; I am thankful that I'm able to do a job that I LOVE & that my husband & I actually have employment.

When I'm feeling that the housework & projects are neverending; I am thankful that we have a wonderful home.

When I'm feeling tired & sluggish at the end of a busy day; I am thankful that I have my health that allows me to do all that I do.

When I'm feeling that the holidays are soooo much work; I am thankful for Swan Creek candles & Josh Groban's christmas CD.

When my house is full of dogs, cats & very loud daughters; I am thankful for my healthy, absolutely amazing children (and all their pets).

When my husband does one of the many quirky little things he does that drives me crazy; I am thankful for all those quirky little things that he does. And for the fact that he tolerates the quirky little things that I do.

When we try to fit in time with all the family at the holidays: I am most thankful to have family around to celebrate the holidays with.

Lastly, when I look at the sink full of dirty pots & pans: I am thankful for pie---pumpkin, apple & pecan (for Aunt Alice)

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Have a safe, wonderful holiday.

Brock, The Naked Christmas Man

I think Mom & Grandma will be pleasantly surprised. I've never seen 2 women work so hard to get a baby to smile! A quick Xmas session turned into a total baby model shoot due to the fact that Brock was so cute & was fascinated by the Xmas props!! Brock did a great job putting up with us-we actually got more smiles than we thought!! Merry 1st Christmas, Brock!

Just a reminder about Holiday Portrait sessions. They are now running through Dec. 7th. Call for appointment-no waiting in overstimulating lobbies!! No session fee-bring a donation for Wrap up Toledo;blankets, hats, gloves... Hope to see you all!

Jen & Ben's Fall Wedding

We had a chilly, but beautiful fall day for Jen & Ben's early November wedding. Thanks to the wedding party for braving the chill for some great shots out at Wildwood. Congratulations!!

Lucas

Lucas doesn't even resemble the tiny, dark haired baby that I've photographed since he was a newborn. Just as cute, though!

What happened to Fall??

It seems we've gone right into Holiday season. Weren't we just doing Halloween pictures? I'm set up & ready to start Holiday pictures tomorrow!! The weather certainly is ready for the Holiday Season!

Call & set up your appointments for Holiday photos running now through Dec. 7th. Outdoor sessions at Wolcott still available for the brave!

Here's some samples of outdoor winter shots. Brody & Cade didn't mind being out in 31 degree weather-they're hockey players!!

More from the pseudo TTD session

A few more shots to give you all an idea of what you've been missing!! TTD sessions can be done anywhere that is special to you--parks, alleys, lakes, stables,e tc. Use your imagination...

Trash the Dress (well, sort of....)

I've been dying to do a Trash the Dress session & had to reschedule with Ashley due to bad weather. I really wanted to get some images out there to demonstrate to Brides what it's all about...

While visiting with my daughter, Taylor, I convinced her to be my model. After finding a dress at Goodwill for $9.99, we were all set!! Unfortunately, it wasn't a custom fit - we had to be strategic with positioning- she almost lost it a couple times... Despite burrs under the dress & lots of gawkers, Taylor did a great job modeling for me. We thought we could really start some rumors on her facebook with these shots!

Thanx, Tay- I love you!!
