Proud Big Sister!

I was so completely inspired & blown away last weekend by my little brother, Joe. He & his fiance, Crystal, came in town from Sunny California only to be greeted by 40 degree, rainy weather! This did not deter Joe from his goal for the trip- to complete the Glass City Marathon. Not only was this his first Marathon, the conditions were miserable & he was not prepared w/proper cold weather running apparel. However, he had set a goal to complete it & that's exactly what he did!! While we whined & shivered just watching the runners, Joe & the other runners kept going to obtain their goal.

I have to admit, I had tears flowing watching them cross the finish line, knowing how hard they all worked to reach that point. The physical training & agony must have been minimal compared to the mental preparations!!

I'm sooo proud of you, Joe!!!

Inspirational weekend

I recently enjoyed a weekend filled with inspiration- There are times when the world & the people in it just stop your breath & make you realize what a wonderful place we live in.

I have had the honor to participate in an amazing fund raiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Sals' Pals is an organization founded by an incredible family that unselfishly & very successfully raises money for the CF Foundation. They are one of the nations' top fund raisers for CF. I can only imagine the obstacles that they have overcome in organizing these events while managing day to day life. Way to go, Rick & Jenny!

I love doing birthday shots, watching the kids grow each year. I've taken Nathans' birthday shots every year & he is now a big 4 year old boy!! WOW-so sweet & so smart. Had a great day & were able to get some outdoor shots this year. Have a super great year, Nathan!!

Mexico post, finally!!

Finally posting our family trip to the fab Riviera Maya, Mexico. We had a wonderful time; enjoying the sun, water, food & family hangin' out time. Back into the routine already & with full force. Oh well, there's always the next vaca to plan!!

Back from Mexico!!

We are back, safe & sound from our family vaca in Sunny Mexico!! We had a great time; very relaxing-no phone, no internet or t.v. Now, the re-entry phase into reality. Trying to catch up phone calls, emails, and laundry!!
